過去台灣遠洋漁業在2015年10月1日被歐盟舉黃牌，歷經近四年努力傳來解除黃牌的好消息!於6月27日獲歐盟執委會決議，將台灣從黃牌名單移除，也肯定漁業改善作為。農委會主委陳吉仲同步召開記者會向國人宣布喜訊，對漁業署同仁、漁民表達感謝，「國人應該替台灣的漁業感到驕傲。」
